Job Description:
Ensure effective implementation and coordination of project:
Ensure that nutrition activities for OTP, SFP, pregnant and lactating are implementation according to work plans
Ensure that those admitted in the program are immunized according to the MOH approved schedule
Ensure supplies are delivered to the project facilities
Ensure nutrition guidelines are maintained in all MCH/OPD clinics and outreach stations
Provide supervision of MCH staff using the MCH supervision check list
Ensure children with medical complications are referred to the stabilization center
Provide the accountability of OTP plumpy nuts.
Ensure that active case finding of malnourished children is taking place.
Ensure referral mechanism between MCH and SC is taking place.
Provide referral books to all MCH
Ensure GIK PDL as well as success stories are accounted for all MCH.
Ensure OTP cards and register books are being properly filled in and IMAM guideline is being used to treat children
To oversee community mobilization and sensitization on PHC issues
Maintain participate in stakeholder networks In consultation with the Nutrition Manager & Health coordinator, make contribution for opportunities for new projects
Skills and Qualifications
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Experience
- Relevant experience and ability to manage programs in insecure environments
- Experience of working with and/ or commitment to humanitarian standards eg SPHERE
- Educational level required: Degree in Public Health or related field with at least 1 to 3 years’ experience related to nutrition and health programing.
- Technical Training qualifications required: Nurse / midwife or Medical Science / Public Health
