Job Description

  • Respect time table and schedule of the Mobile Health and Nutrition team as planned by the Health Officer and Nutrition expert.
  • Ensure implementation of fully MNCH Activities in the Mobile Health and Nutrition service provision sites according to FMOH Guidelines, especially.
  • Support Midwife colleagues in implementing FANC follow up counselling, iron folate supplementation, vaccination and referral, Immunization of children under five. Actively participate in the Nutritional screening and management of Sever Acute Malnutrition at outpatient level in OTP, referral of complicated SAM to SC and also support Management of MAM in TSFP as per National Guidelines and ensuring high level quality standards care.
  • Support the Health Officer in the implementation of Consultation (diagnosis and treatment) service for Adult and under-five in the outreach sites.
  • Ensure the implementation of Health education session.
  • Promptly identify cases in need of referral and support the logistic of immediate and effective referral /sending patient to nearby Health facility with the initial management at the Outreach site.
  • Keep all documentations and Records properly filled and organized.
  • Ensure follow up of clients referred to Health facilities and build good collaboration with Health Centre and Hospitals.
  • Supervise, monitor and direct cleaners, being respectful of their position.
  • Ensure that workplace outreach sites, material and instruments are properly kept, cleaned and sterilized, mentoring also The health extension workers and Cleaners.
  • Leave the workplace or the outreach sites in order at the end of each program.
  • Provide technical support to the Health extension workers who are working with the team in each of the MHNT sites.
  • Ensure monthly reports accurately filled and precise.
  • Work with colleagues being respectful of their role and position having a positive attitude and behavior’s and ensuring a good team spirit work and avoid any kind of quarrel.
  • Carry out other responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor and the project Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Three Years and Above work Experience as a Nurse.
  • Fluent in Somali Language.
  • Experience working in Mobile and Health Team is a Pluses.
  • Good Amharic and English Language.
